A record player equipped with an auto-lift mechanism that considers ease of use without compromising the basic performance of a direct drive player.
The drive system adopts a direct drive system.
Since there is no rotary transmission mechanism such as belts or idlers, there are no wah
flutters or rumbles caused by them, and there are no parts that cause wear or deformation,
so the initial performance is maintained for a long time.
DENON's unique high-precision magnetic recording detection method is used to detect
rotational speed.
The rotation speed is controlled by DENON's proprietary method of recording 1,000
high-precision pulse signals on a magnetic material coated on the inside of the turntable rim
and detected by the magnetic head. As a result, there is almost no change in rotation speed
even if the load conditions such as needle pressure and arm position change, as well as
external conditions such as fluctuations in power supply voltage and frequency, and changes
in humidity.
The drive motor adopts AC servo motor.
AC motors rotate more smoothly in principle compared to DC motors, and are better in terms
of rumble, wah flutter, etc.
It is equipped with an auto-lift mechanism with non-contact end detection.
The DP-1200's record end detection method uses a non-contact method that optically detects
the sound of the record and the speed at which the tonearm moves as it moves from the groove
to the readout. This eliminates the need to worry about loading the tonearm.
The lifting mechanism of the arm works smoothly by means of oil dumping.
After the auto-lift, the player will turn off and the control lever will also work to return to the
off position.
It is equipped with a standby switch to start/stop the turntable. This makes it easy to start
the record and adjust the needle pressure of the cartridge.
It is equipped with an arm height adjustment mechanism.
It adopts a cabinet with a howling countermeasure.
The cartridge is equipped with a DL-8A, an MM-type cartridge.
