Commentary
Based on the AU-D907, a custom model that removes all restrictions and thoroughly
pursues both sound and technical aspects, and also introduces many know-how and
new materials cultivated in the development of the AU-X1.
The same 20 stone composition as AU-X1 is adopted as an equalizer circuit.
Combined with the cascode boot strap circuit that brings the diamond differential circuit closer
to the ideal operation, the dynamic range is expanded.
Moreover, the MC head amplifier has adopted the all-FET input, the full push-pull input /
output circuit, and the Pch / Nch FET is used for the element.
The linear high-speed element LAPT (Linear Amp.Power Tr.) of a non-ferrous structure
is adopted by 2 parallel connection, and the true value of a diamond differential circuit is
further improved.
This has realized the high response speed of inside through late ± 300V / μsec, and
has suppressed the occurrence of TIM distortion to near zero.
The power supply part is strengthened with the theme of high-speed response, and
the complementary push-pull (shunt) regulated circuit is newly adopted instead of the
conventional constant voltage circuit as a power supply system. This circuit guarantees
a stable voltage supply not only when the voltage drops but also when the voltage rises,
enabling more stable power supply.
Moreover, the case of a pure oval capacitor and a coupling capacitor was changed from
aluminum to a resin case for high-grade reproduction, and also the fast recovery diode is
adopted as all the rectifying diodes.
And, in order to further enhance the effect of the pure oval capacitor, the 1.2mm thick brass
plate which is advantageous in the sound quality is adopted as the chassis of the power-source
part.
Moreover, the large toroidal transformer and the large EI transformer are adopted as
a power transformer, and the power cord with a current capacity of 15A for a 200W amplifier
class is adopted as a power cord.
Pure copper plating is applied to the rear panel and chassis, and a brass plate is used for
the power supply chassis, and the mounting screws are also bronze-treated to reduce the
ground high-frequency impedance.
In addition, an ebony wood case with an ebony finish is used to eliminate stray current and
create a flavor in the design.
The DC amplifier composition which used the full push pull drive circuit of all FET input is
adopted.Moreover, the DC amplifier of 10 stone composition is adopted as a flat / tone amplifier.
The direct SP output terminal is carried, and the A system is directly connected to the DC
power amplifier stage at the shortest distance without going through a changeover switch.
The tone jump switch is carried and the equalizer can be directly connected to the power
part.
The DC / AC main amplifier input is carried and the pre part and the power part can be
used independently.
The large and reliable screw-in type is adopted as a speaker terminal.
