Commentary
E series speaker system developed based on the technical know-how of SB-10000.
The 30cm cone type Woofer is carried in the low-pass.
The cone paper of a simple composition made from rigid kraft pulp and linter which
increases internal loss is adopted as this unit, and the weight of a vibration system is reduced.
The smooth high region characteristic is acquired by this, and the connection with a midrange
is improved. Moreover, while adopting a resin film bobbin with less electromagnetic control,
mechanical resistance is suppressed by a high compliance damper with good breathability and
a non-directional urethane edge. The voice coil is heat resistant and has a high input resistance
design that can withstand a 100 Wrms sine wave.
The horn type midrange is carried in the mid range.
A 35φ, 30μm thick aluminum lightweight diaphragm and a magnet with a magnetic flux density
of 13,200gauss are used for the driver section to obtain good transient reproduction sound.
The horn part adopts a radial horn that opens wide at 150 ° from the root part, and is integrally
olded with aluminum die casting. Furthermore, the directivity is improved sharply by adopting
the newly developed shell type equalizer which changes a spherical wave generated from
a diaphragm into a cylindrical wave.
Moreover, the horn is subjected to sufficient deadening treatment by pasting a natural rubber
heet, and the horn squeal is suppressed.
The horn type tweeter is carried in the high region.
The driver part is based on 5HH17, and uses a 14φ, 50μm thick metallized polyester film
iaphragm and an alnico magnet with a magnetic flux density of 12,500 gauss.
The horn part is made of die-cast aluminum and has a 150 ° opening angle radial horn that is
ntegrally molded. Like the midrange, it is deadened with a natural rubber sheet.
The linear phase network by the combination of -12dB / oct and the induction m type is adopted
as a network part.
The function centralized control tower is carried in the rear part of a horn, and the horn mounting
mechanism, a crossover network, an attenuator, a thermal relay protection circuit, an input
erminal, and a terminal for a multi-amplifier are assembled in one chassis.
The attenuator and thermal relay protection circuit have an independent structure for the
mid range and high range.
The bass reflex system is adopted as an enclosure.
In addition, the exterior has a rosewood grain finish.
